Amyra Dastur (born 7 May 1993) is a polular Indian actress who has starred in Hindi, Tamil, International and Telugu Films. She started her career at the age of 16 as an Indian model and over the years, she made a name for herself by endorsing several big brands and starring in a number of television commercials.
Amyra Dastur began her education in Cathedral and John Connon School and then her secondary education in Dhirubhai Ambani International School. However, she dropped out to pursue her acting passion. Dastur is Parsi and she speaks English and Gujarati at home.
Amyra Dastur mostly acts in Hindi films like Rajma Chawal and Prassthanam but is known in South too thanks to her handful Telugu and Tamil projects.
In 2013, Dastur made her Hindi cinema-acting debut in Manish Tiwary‘s romantic drama Issaq co-starring Prateik Babbar. This is an Indian adaptation from William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. However, the movie received generally negative reviews.
In her first international project, Amrya shoot for Chinese superstar Jackie Chan’s action-adventure “Kung Fu Yoga” in 2015. It is a Chinese-Indian co-production of Taihe Entertainment, Shinework Media (China) and also stars Aarif Rahman and Sonu Sood.

Amyra Dastur is excitedly looking forward to a release in Tamil Adhik Ravichandran’s Bagheera after a long gap of six years, and she will be seen sharing screen space with Prabhudheva.
The actress says she is proud of where she is today, and she hopes to have a long career. Amyra says, “It has been a great journey, I did films in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu apart from being part of web series. I’m on the lookout for good scripts now. I want to team up with any writer or director who has got a great story to tell.”

She has put on a bit of weight since she has been staying at home and eating all homemade food cooked by her mother. Amyra Dastur also shared videos of herself practicing yoga at home.
Amyra also voiced her concern about the rising levels of pollution in India, and showed sadness over mankind not learning from its mistakes.
“This is very sad. We clearly aren’t learning from our mistakes. This time I fear an apology to Mother Nature will not be enough. We need to change. I just hope by the time we do; it isn’t too late.”
Who is Amyra Dastur: a warm-hearted girl
Being a self-confessed animal lover, the actress has given many abandoned and injured birds and animals a loving home at her farmhouse in Khandala. The actress has been fond of animal welfare since childhood.
“My mother passed on her love for animals to me. Growing up, I would often see her rescuing abandoned dogs. Early in my life, I realised that many people love puppies, but don’t want them once they are older. These animals are then neglected and even tortured. When we got Elsa (Amyra’s first dog), she was very aggressive because her previous owners used to beat and starve her. But slowly, with lots of love and affection, she began to warm up to us. I did not have many friends growing up, and Elsa became my best friend.”
All of Amyra’s six pets so far have been rescued and adopted by her. She currently has two dogs at her Khandala house and a cat at her Mumbai home.
